LIPO Question.
Do lipos just go and go then shut off or do they slow down towards the end of their run??
I ask this because I don't really have any experience running lipo cells and today was my first time out on track with them. I was practicing with my Cobra using a tamiya black can brushed motor and hobbywing brushed speedo. The ESC has lipo cut off and this is enabled. As it was practice runs I was out for much longer than a usual race time. About 20mins. At the end of my final run the car was slowing down as though the cells were dumping. I thought that the cut off would just stop the car dead? Am I wrong in this and would a noticeable loss in power be normal for the end of a packs charge? Sorry if this is a bit of a newbie question but as I said I have no real experience with LIPO tech. Thanks Ash |

Lipo cut offs generally drop the power to 50% so you can crawl to a safe place then eventually just stop dead to stop battery voltage dropping the threshold which I think is 3v per cell but depends on make and cut off settings

Check what the cut off is set to. And if it's switched on.
I've not noticed a slowing after a certain time. it's just quick quick quick 50% stop. And the 50% stop bit is about 45 seconds! |

ahh ok guys thanks for this. I guess that it went into 50% mode as 1/2 speed seems about right. I stopped after that.
