Wife is letting me out this summer and looking at the upgrade set, is this worth getting? Only upgrade I've fitted to date is the steering rack so not spent on separate bits yet.

I ran one with just the rude bits camber link mods on and modded tamiya steering rack and it was a load better, much more adjustment so I would say go for it

I have the big bores on my 502. Works well with tracks that have big jumps which allows a better landing, the different spring rates are a benefit due to the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and weather. I Also have these shocks on the 201xm, well worth the cost / against gains.

You can also use a lighter viscosity oil, i.e. I use to 42.5 in the front and 37.5 in the rear with the standard shocks. I'm now using 32.5 in the front and 30 in the rear (Associated Shock Oil). This helps the car react better (smoother) on the bumpy stuff, but because of the larger volume of oil in the shocks, it doesn't bottom out on the jumps.
Tip for the gears and diffs. Don't use ceramic grease on the gears. Because of the bevel it ends up in the diff and contaminates the ball diff grease. Just use ball diff grease on the gears. This prevents contamination. Your diffs will last a lot longer!
