Default Is it wrong to......

The kids have a bit of a fad around our neighbourhood at the mo', of using peoples gardens as a 'short cut' and whilst they cross your garden, kick a few things in as they go.

What I want to know is, would you consider it wrong to carefully place a couple of kids buckets full of water behind the shed?
They have to run round the shed to get through the gate to get off the garden.
So now, if they run round the shed they're gonna fall over the buckets, as you can't see them until the lat split second. Oh and I also cable tied the gate shut so now they've got to climb over it.

..no longer the 'quick route'

Is this wrong?

I don't think so.

Nope. we used to have someone who kept throwing our advertising signs in the hedge every night. So, a little coat of tar on the back later and hey presto, signs still there but with hand prints all over the back!!
Someone had dirty clothes

Next time they come through, is it wrong to run outside in your birthday suit screaming like a mad man swinging a baseball bat? Yes - of course it is. But It'd be damn funny.

Thing is the walls are only 1ft high (which is why they run across) so the dog may escape and terrorise the neighbourhood.

But being 'kids buckets' I can say that my daughter left them there, rather than myself putting them there in vengance. So the chav parents wont come and burn my car...mind you, that may do me a favour!

I'm just sat waiting for the crash and the swearing!

This may be a little overboard but how about a hole in the ground covered with foliage, under which lies wooden stakes pile driven into the ground, they wont be running across again.

due to the H&S people, oh, and human rights, you can't use anything that is made to deliberatley hurt someone... but you can always just leave things 'laying round' that the little twats can fall over and hurt themselves with.....

If you mix soap with the water that'll keep 99.99% of chavs at bay.
