There were quite a few people running the Turnigy Lipo me included, I’ve ran these for near 2 years and have never been checked.
I know people will say “it’s a BRCA event so the rules apply” but I think it a bit harsh for people on a tight budget especially as there is no race advantage.

It cost enough in tyres to be competitive outdoors without new lipo’s.

Does anyone sell Orion Lipo stickers

The battery list is only there for BRCA insurance purposes. They need a specified list of approved lipos to be able to offer us cover. We all know it's unlikely and the world has gone mad with the "quick to sue your neighbour" culture, however, in the unlikely event of there being a fire or damage caused by a non approved Lipo, the race director leaves himself wide open for a court case against him. Why should anyone who is good enough to run a meeting put themselves in that position ? Do one less meeting and get yourselves some lipos from the list. I've managed to pick up good used ones which are BRCA approved from these forums.

Yeah, it was a bit of a shock for me as well knowing just before the final that I would have been kicked off if not changing batteries..
But what can I say? Rules are rules, and the list of approved electronics is there to read.. my fault I didn't do it before!

Apart from this great race, great track!
