Is it worth buying a ZX5 still? Want to do 4wd but have limited funds so the price difference between ZX6 and ZX5 will get me the electrics! The ball diffs put me off a bit but not the end of the world.
Had a ZX6 previously but stupidly sold it....! |

ZX5 still a good car, wouldn't worry about the ball diffs, build them correct and they will last the season. I've found the ZX6 is a step up from the ZX5, but being honest most people would realise the new car will be exactly that. Main difference (I've found) with the zx6 is the sharper slow corner turning, but overall the ZX5 is still a very competitive package.
The Zx6 uses ball diffs as well as standard and they work great.

Pretty sure the gear diffs for the ZX6 will fit in the ZX5 too, my son runs the gear diffs in his ZX6 they are expensive but look indestructable!
