Default Best High Performance NiMH

Our club racing does not allow Lipo, I seem to be struggling to match the other cars for top speed using stick packs. (gearing and motors restricted also)

Any advice on what the best cells are to use and where to get them.

Well... I'm surprised your club is banning LiPo, it's definitely a mainstream choice now.

Still lots of life in NiMH yet though! NiMH's won the first 4wd national of the year!

Eastpower 4600 and EnerG 4600 (same cell, different shrink) are both at the top of the performance curve. No need to buy matched, unmatched are much better value and perform the same. Unfortunately they are getting harder to find in stock at shops now, fortunately my sponsor below does keep them in the warehouse so ask your local to order some in.

Er... it's used by Off-Road and Stock TC. Mod TC, 12th, Oval, GT10 and many 1/18th drivers. LiPo is no allowed in any class in Germany, and even in Holland it seems to be rare. AFAIK, it's unheard of in Japan. Keep it in perspective, it's not that mainstream yet!!

+1 here. I use EnerG cells and they are by far the best 4600 cells we've ever seen. They just sit there at the right voltage for weeks and weeks on end, and then you just balance and charge. Seem to retain their punch as well as duration. Not had the same result from Eastpower. HTH
