Hi there,
Sorry I posted this in the wrong place at first ![]() I've just dropped a 5.5 brushless motor into my Xray T2 008 to run on a tarmac surface next week for a special video I'm doing with a major car manufacturer. My current gearing setup which I have been using with the 13.5 motor, using the 34T front and rear pulley with 20T central one was as follows: Spur: 81T Pinion: 24T FDR: 5.74 I've got a variety of pinions with 84T and 87T spurs to choose from. Your advice would be helpful and gratefully received. I used to race on carpet and was advised to remove the rear roll-bar which did make a big difference in the handling. Should I keep it off for running on tarmac, or should I consider putting it back on with such a hot motor to help with the back end if it gets a little tail happy ![]() Thanks again for your advice. Warmest regards Scott Westbury www.bedsrcmcc.co.uk The new RC car club for Bedfordshire |
