This is a quick and very useful update for the current Serpent S400 and gives the car a big increase in turn in and stability. All parts are easy to purchase and will benefit this great car until the next update!

speedtechrc.com has the spec r universals in stock. what other parts are needed to use these? how nice are the C hubs you are using. i am currently in korea as a u.s. soldier and I am thinking about ordering a set and shipping is adventurous.

what type ball ends are you using on the top of the C Hub?

C Hubs are very well made and as shown in the pics have been a very clean fit on my S400. All that was required with the installation with the alloy knuckles were some .01 and .02 metric shims. The C Hubs were a direct fit to the car with no mods.....
The ball ends in the top of the C Hub is the genuine Serpent S400 kit item. Cheers Ren |

With the Spec R CVD's so far so good but as stated by Spec R themselves these are not recommended for any motor under 11 turns.

Hi
The spool is from Titanium Racing in the UK and the SpecR driveshafts fitted with only a small trim on the length of the pins and worked so well together. Soooooo Smooth. Cheers Ren |

I'm in Australia and from order to delivery of the Spool approx 10 days. Fit was spot on for the car. No complaints from my side!

Wear on the out-drives has been as good as accepted depending on the motor used and driving ability.

A little mod for current S400 owners. I felt board and did a bit of tinkering.
![]() S400 with front gear diff and 2mm alloy shims ![]() Belt tentioner now mounted on chassis just behind steering assembly. ![]() Front rear toe bracket now flat on chassis is better braced against accidents! Belt clears this bracket now with tentioner mounted on chassis. Enjoy, Cheers Ren |
