Ok folks was a little board of the weather, RC8b (nitro) is built and ready to go for the summer, Can't bring myself to killing it in the winter mud.
Fancied somthing different then found this

It's the EP8
This is a buget 1/8th electric car £250 all in rtr
I cleared it with my local 1/10 electric club that I could bring it along and play, I entered it in the sc10's figured they would just bounce if i hit them.
I replaced the standard electrics with 2.4ghz and replaced the steering servo with an ace 1013, took the bungo stickers off and replaced with various others I had. oh and set up endpoints on throttle from 120% to 50% a waste I know but wanted it to be the same speed as the 1/10th 6.5's. Becides, this thing is very very and yes stupidly quick!!!..
The kit tyres worked fine on carpet but will admit did put some schumacher mini pins on during the night.
During the first heat found the car semi-uncontrolable when jumping, landing and in tight corners, as a result I snapped and bent my front drive shafts..
Investigated the car further and found there was a silly amount of play in the steering assembly and the servo saver was way too light.
made some minor adjustments on the night and enjoyed an evenings racing, in the dry and not in the mud!!!.
This morning I stripped down the front end, fitted some spacers into the servo saver, fitted some rubber 0-rings into the front steering joints and a washer above the servo saver!! basicaly removed all the play, still leaving a servo saver with similar pressure as the RC8b.
Took in out for a test run this morning all working A+++ so turned the power back up to 120% and shreded a set of tyres, but boy did I have fun.
The batterys lasted over 10min.
Looking forward to my next indoor meet on friday!!
I know this is not on the standards of electric RC8's, losi's etc etc,
And in my opinion this is 1/8th electric car based on a 1/10 elctric car. But for £250 with batteries included you can't go wrong.. This should keep my 1/8th driving skills (not a lot i know) up over the wet months.

ive got one and love it, fast as you like will stay with 1/8 buggies costing twice as much at our club, its a bit light weight and does need some of the alloy upgrades fitting though as some of the plastics are not to great

From looking at one the other day I'd say the metal parts aren't great either. Also, the use of M3 screws for the steering knuckles? Snap!
