Default Mid South 2wd at Swindon this weekend

Just a quick reminder to everyone that Swindon RCMCC is holding the 3rd round of the Mid South 2wd regional championship this weekend (17th June) We should have our nice new bigger, wider, taller rostrum ready for the weekend, and preparations are ongoing all week to make sure the track and facilities are all up to scratch.

Hopefully the weather will remain good.....it can't be any worse than last year!!!

See you all Sunday

for a map to the track, click http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl...6689&z=14&om=1 we are on the lane between Mannington and South Leaze

It's 2 roundabouts from J16 of the M4

Are we getting that quality burger van like last year?

It made being drowned so much more bearable

I understand there is to be no burger van, but regular van in retail park, 5 minutes walk away.

Had a quick look at the Swindon web site and saw the pictures of the track.

Is the new rostrum in a different location so you can see the jump from the side as it looks as though you can't see the run up to the jump at the moment?

Also the pitting looks a little "tight" in the pictures or is this just deceiving? ...... just wondering if we would be able to get the gazebo up if it rains.

Cheers for any info

Alec

parking will be fine, we have a small field to mow and strim this saturday, but for club we just use the area as we drive in. parking shouldn't be too tight, but people will need to be sensible, we're not blessed with a field the size of stotfolds.

the use of the mountain depends on visibility from our new taller rostrum (being installed thursday),if there's an issue we will not use it.

Try here. Down the little track under the railway bridge by some farm buildings on the left after a couple of hundred yards.

Elliott.
