Default mk2 escort rally conversion

ok i have had a bit of a mess about with my yokomo mr4 tc which was my drift car. ( most fun you can have with tarmac and tcs)
but i am an off road kinda guy so made this to run round my local outdoor track for a laugh. it is a mr4 belt drive tc with hpi rally car shocks and a cen front shock tower. wheels are mk2 escort replicas and tryes are schuy mini spikes.
running a multiplex esc and a proper reedy 12 turn double wound brushed motor. which is like brushless power bur probly more torque (less reliabillity i no but its just a mess about car)
hoping the belt drive will help cushion the drive train off road. what do yall think and do ya have any tips on setting up rally converted tcs. cheers

Yup, controlFreax have a Rs200 shell out now, and have a 6R4 shell coming soon. There will be a review of the shell on my blog in the next day or so (Cutting it out now).

Check out their site. Lewis from there is a top guy.

I love rally cars, even the old tamiya ta01 still is a great rally chassis.

My Tamiya M-03, Powered by a Checkpoint 12 single, running on M-Chassis rally blocks, Up-rated and waterproofed, Shame it chews through the gear sets though Front sump guard fitted as it's a tad front heavy!

Default rally

nice mini. ran the scort round goshen track today
fun indeed kept with buggys apart from jumps handled awsome
rally cars do not like big air
but went mint on the rough parts and grass and was ok with little rally style jumps.
made me smile think its a keeper, just for fun

The MK2 shell may come from www.retroracing.com where they have other cool rally-car shells as well

Kamtec do a 1/10th scale Mk1 Escort in lexan, but no Grp B stuff as yet. They've just released a Mk1 Cortina in ABS for 12th scale too and it looks the nuts
