Default 201 or B4?

Hi all. Is it worth me replacing my year old ftB4 with a 201? I saw one run at the regional on sunday and it looked very impressive and I've been offered one at a very good price(uk stock at PBM) and must say I fancy it but....should I? Anyone else come from a B4 into a 201? All advice gratefully received.

I haven't had a B4. I have a 201 and I am over the moon with it

So I of course I would say get one as they are fantastic. I usually run 4wd with my DB01R so my 201 is the first proper 2wd and it is competative straight from the box...

I could praise this car all day, I have been racing it nearly two months now. Massively impressed

You really do need to get one

had both, and I really liked the B4's front end, but the rear always felt like it was dancing about. The 201 has the front end bite of the B4, but the rear feels far more planted.

I'm currently driving a B4, 201x and cougar, alternating between race meetings and sometimes racing in both 2wd class's.

I will say this.......you are not giving up anything at all by driving your B4. If anything, its my 'go to' car, as I know it very well. Have not had the other cars to setup to how I like yet. But the B4 out of the box is incredible. 201x needs some setup suffering from understeer, cougar is the opposite dialing some steering out of it.

buy what your heart desires. honestly performance wise i believe both cars can be tuned to behave similarly and yield the same lap times.

I have the Cougar dude. I love it and have had my best year ever with it. I like to have a rear motor car for different conditions or as a back up in case the Cougar is out of action for any reason. I like to try every car to make sure I am racing the car that suits me the best. 201 looked very good at my last regional. Cougar was fantastic there tho. Just interested, thats all.

Hi Sime it was my 201 at Eastrax! I thought it was a lot better over the jumps than a B4. Had loads of steering going in and a little under steer coming out! It was the first time i ran the car as i only finished it on Friday so the setup was not great to be fair! Also the car only weighed 1420 grams and after i made a 70g brass plate for under the lipo 74g under the servo i still felt it was to light! I think that a mid car is a lot easier to drive round eastrax! Also the reason that i bought the car was to make it Mid motored which i should of finished in the next two to three weeks im hoping!

Where are you placing the weight Lee, that maybe some of the cause of my handling issue.

STREWTH, thats a lot of weight, I hope it solves the excessive turn in and excessive understeer out....
