Default Diff screw coming loose by itself.

I have a weird problem with the madrat diff and I can't seem to figure it out. I just installed a team Orion BL motor. The car ran fine for about 3/4 minutes and then it started make a high whining noise and no more power. I looked and the slipper was full on rotating and the wheels didn't turn anymore.

I inspect it and the diff screw had gotten super loose. I tighten it, the car runs fine for about ten seconds and the diff screw was super loose again.. I have no idea what causes this, or how this is even possible frankly... How the hell does a diff screw unscrew itself???

The worst thing is that I am in a cast from breaking my arm, so working on this car takes me 5 times as long as usual. Taking the diff apart will probably take hours..

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I read online that one guy tightened the diff screw with red threadlock and it helped. I tried some superglue but to no avail.

First take the screw out with the thrust bearings and see if the thrust bearings are broken or not

because I was dumb enough to fill the diff screw with super glue I almost couldn't get it out. it worked in the end, but the thrust bearings are stuck to the diff hubs forever, so I can't see if they are broken. (I ordered new diff hubs and screw)

But if the thrust bearings are broken, what can be the reason behind this?

I took the diff apart and it is 100% ok.

They just aren't very good, you can replace them with RB5 ones I think or just get the B-fast diff kit

Fearo the thrust bearing could be the cause I would also look at the spring and the plastic part that holds the nut this has failed on me once

The thrust bearings are stuck to the dif hubs! With super glue?! Is this not the problem all along?

No, because I poured the superglue in there as a desperate measure. the problem had occured way before that.

Can these thrust bearings break from tightening the diff too hard?

I'm thinking of buying the thrust bearings from here: http://www.rcbearings.co.uk/index.ph...index&cPath=54

Can someone tell me the correct size I should take?

we've had a few thrust bearings break, and the diff just keeps loosening itself, all I know about the size is they are 1/16 balls
