I can't see any dodgy dubbing, and it was as cheesy as that back then, we are talking 1970's.
Ashley, whats odd about it, I was having a nostalgic moment last night with a friend of similar age and we were looking for video clips of stuff we used to watch. What is ODD is the fact you think it is strange..... roflol

I remember reading somewhere about how it was a done as a joke and never aired but the original cast did do it. No idea on the source though but it was an interview with one of the cast.

It is ace...and the best part is the fact that they did that show..and didnt seem to break out in fits of laughter whilst filming it!
