Default Brushless system/esc/motor advice?

Unsure if this is in the right section so i apologise if it is.

Right well i'm looking to upgrade my brushless running gear and get some 'boost'. What sort of systems/esc's/motors would you recomend? I've heard of the Hobbywing bargain ESC which looks good for the cost but having seen two of them in action they seemed to have problems and drain the lipo's superly quick.

All help appreciated!

I can assure you that the HobbyWing XeRun V2.1 120A / 1S 120A units are fantastic!

I've not run them for long but they are very smooth, easily tunable and seem at least as efficient as anything else out there.

Normally poor run times are due to gearing issues.

If you go for the HobbyWing ESCs I will do my best to help you out where I can.

I'm running a 5.5 in a 4wd with a LobbyIng 1S 120A without issue, choose the right esc and they are as good as anything
