Tamiya TA05R touring car
Tamiya TA05R touring car with a spares package. Has had a hard life but everything is running fine, and has been keeping me at 2nd in the Stock 17.5 club championship. Moving on to a flashier, and crucially, lighter chassis to bridge the gap to 1st!
Ceramic balls in both diffs, one of the camber links has been replaced with a m3 steel rod as an emergency replacement that never got replaced again! One of the wheel hexes is missing an m2 screw to clamp it tight to the drive pin - this has never presented a problem. One of the front wishbones has a small crack in it on the outside behind the wheel, this was repaired successfully with CA. Spur gear is a RW 67T 48dp. The tyres/wheels shown (Sorex 28JB) are not included - you can have a set of LRP vtec 27s instead. Included is a Honda Accord shell, some cracks up front as usual for such shells. Pictures: Shell on: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Shell off: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Top down front: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Tob down middle: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Top down rear: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Underside: http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Spares: 2 one-ways (enough out-drives for one), a 3Racing spool (needs a diff pulley, sorry, no spare ones here), full sets of anti-roll bars front and rear, and one solitary, all important, flanged tube! The steering knuckles out of packet would likely need repair to the thread for the lower screw hole. http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo...eat=directlink Note: I've since found another pair of front hub carriers, rear uprights and an aramid belt. A pair of wishbones arrived in the post too, so in they go. Electrics i.e. speed controller, motor, batteries and servo not included. (Considering the state of my electrics install, maybe not such a bad thing...) I've toyed with turning it into a drift car, as this chassis is very popular amongst drifters, but it's time to thin the collection. Looking £100 posted ono, or I'll leave in the GM7954 Digital Servo (808 MG-BB 0.04s/40 degree 8.8Kg) for an additional £30 I'll be listing this on eBay on 9th January is unsold.
