lrp sphere problem help

HI all
I got on 2nd hand and now after Ive installed it I can't seem to set it up like this

I get to part 2 step 3 truning on the esc.. It just is at nearly full gas. Part 3 holding in the set button for 3 seconds wont turn the led blue so I can enter set up mode.

I have tried holding in the button and turning it on as well as turning it on then holding it in.... nothing no changing lights or anything.

I have also reset and rebinded the RX

Help

EDIT... I got it sorted, don't know how but its now up and running I think the set button was sticking or just funny.

Anyway another question then can I remove the fan from this model? It hasn't got any connectors I think it might be soldered in the casing.
Will it pose a problem removing it?
