Default FTW TLR '22' bodies

FTW Racing Components have two new alternative bodies out for the new Losi 22 buggy. A cab 'forward' and cab 'back' design for those with style.

The 'BLADE' body by FTW

FTW Racing Components today introduced its Blade and Vane bodies for Team Losi Racing's new 22 1:10 2WD off-road buggy platform. Both Blade and Vane are designed to fit the 22 in both its mid- and rear-motor configurations, and each offers a unique aero package for the 22 racer while sporting the distinctive styling the world expects from FTW.
As soon as we saw the 22, we recognized the design challenge presented by its narrow chassis,” said FTW co-founder John Riewe, “and instantly we saw it as an opportunity to develop a new design language that would complement the Losi's revolutionary shape.” Co-founder Joshua Riewe added “Two designs emerged as winners in our R&D process, and rather than choose one to introduce, we elected to introduce them both together. Both offer truly unique aero packages coupled with dramatic styling elements.”

The 'VANE' from FTW

Blade and Vane are both packaged with two wings, window masks, and a decal sheet. Two sets of molded cut-lines facilitate trimming of both bodies to fit the 22 in both mid- and rear-motor configurations.

FTW RC products are sold through FTW Authorized Resellers, which include online retailers and hobby shops. A list of authorized retailers is available at www.ftwrc.com/buy. Qualified retailers interested in becoming FTW Authorized Resellers should email sales@ftwrc.com.

Had a look on the website and it's much better than their Cougar effort.

Apart from producing different looking shells and people liking them or not from the pics: do these FTW 22 shells actually work on the track? Anyone tried them yet?

mmmh... maybe on other cars, but with that shock tower and the low profile cab, that'd be surprising...

If anyone is interested in these body shells - or the versions they do for the Cougar SV Kyosho RB5, or B4.1, we have just been accepted as a dealer and are in the process of placing our first order. Need to wait on the first batch hitting our shores for certainty on pricing, but looking like £19.99. Note they all come with two wings.

Thanks

Holy crap!, I've just got rid of my 22, and then they bring these out!!

Oddly enough, I hate cab forward shells, but MAN!! that look frickin awesome on the 22 for some reason!

But I think the Blade is more my taste. Glad someone brought a decent shell out for it. looks like it has a little more room under there too.

Does it look right because it has a half cab which fill's in the back of the shell?

yeah, I think so, most of the 'cab forward' designs go for a low back, whereas this one has a much longer roof line.... the blade looks like an alien cartoon character in that green lol!
