Default My Hong Nor Scrt-10

Hi guys just thought i would make a thread about my new rc. I got this 2 weeks ago ( haven't run it yet).I will be reporting on all the progress, adjustments and upgrades on this thread so stay tuned

With my Hong Nor i went for the castle creations Short course edition Brushless system.

So i opened the box, it was all rather marvelous i send my shell of to my Sponsor ( outlaw graphics to be painted ), should be here soon.

And there it was the Hong Nor! so shiny and lovely ( not for long lol)
It looked fantastic! quite big too.

I found it was a bit difficult to adjust the motor but thats all. The motor mount was giving me a hard time. Stabbed myself with my hex driver 10 times lol.

Running with a spektrum DX3R PRO.

Please comment and enjoy

I also had my first test run today. And i have to say its fantastic!! It handles so nicely. The amount of power is just huge!! I am really happy with this car. The brushless system doesn't even get hot.

It drifts around corners beautifully and again the amount of power is just amazing!!

The Savox 1257tg servo also works very well with this setup.

I could do with raising the ride height a bit but that's all. Got a little damage on my new bodyshell near the rear ends but its not to bad.

Other than that its AMAZING!.
I am really happy with it so far. I have found nothing wrong with it.

Battery has arrived today just need to get the connectors soldered up.

I also bought this cover thing for it so dirt can't go inside.

Going back to Germany for a while next week and i am taking my Hong nor. But my bag isn't big enough ( i'll have to use my Mums lol)

Thanks

I just finished running this near the SWISS mountains. I went to Switzerland from Germany. It was fanastic!! The Swiss have some great natural made rc jumps lol. Also great fun running this in Germany.

The new battery is amazing lasts for quite a while.

The esc got hot because i added the overcover, so i did order a fan but it got lost in the post!!.I'll order one again once i am back from Germany.

Thanks

Just arrived back in London and here is the bash report:

I bashed this thing in Switzerland and Germany and it was sooooo much fun. Didn't break a thing even jumped a 20ft jump once (very scary). I ran this in mud, sand, grass, and on the road. Speed is brilliant and its a great basher on mud, sand and generally on dirt. It didn't do so well on Grass mainly because i kept my ride height quite low.

2 days before my flight back i ran it again in Frankfurt. And i lost 2 body clips and i lost a wheel nut, which stopped play for me.

Overall very happy with this

Thanks

Hi mate, Loving the Hong nor. I changed because the SCT system was lagging a lot of power. That car is basically a 1/8 and that system was really not up to the job. It also cogged a LOT. So i thought i would go crazy and buy the MMM and 4S batterys Also got some new wheels and tyres just because i think all that power with the poo stock wheels will do no good

Honestly Dave, Get a 1/8 system. 1/10 = big no no. Either get the Turingy 1/8 or Ezrun systems from ebay or Tekin,Mamba monster.Or you could get this

http://www.castlecreations.com/produ...x_pro_sct.html = best of both worlds ( not pc world ) lol.

CANT WAIT TO TRY 4S MADNESS!!!! lol.

Thanks and Enjoy your Hong nor. Its a GREAT,GREAT bit of kit.
