U3898 - Dirt Spec Chassis Conversion - Cougar SV

Schumacher have released a new conversion kit for their popular Cougar SV 2WD buggy to give it more of a low traction - dirt specific balance.

Schumacher:

After a host of data gathering and testing by our factory drivers and engineers we are pleased to bring you this ‘Dirt Spec Conversion’ for the Cougar SV.* Although the Cougar SV has been performing extremely well on dirt winning several major races recently we thought we could improve its performance!


This conversion allows more weight moved to the rear of the car by lengthening the chassis and also has the added benefit of using a brass plate under the gear box area also bringing the weight balance back. It will accept all major battery types including saddle, stick and 96mm short stick. All this aids forward traction on low to medium grip surfaces.

Just another way for Schumacher to make money! Losi have it right with the 22, it all comes in one box. It wont make the car any faster for the average driver. Only the top boys.

Isn't the 22 the car everyone is complaining about, especially on low to medium grip tracks? Yeah it is.

The Dirt Spec conversion kit will make the car a lot easier to drive on low grip surfaces. So yes, the average driver does benefit from it.

Its not a con mate. Schumacher sell cars to other european countries which race on dirt inparticular. They are developing the cougar to improve it on dirt!

As far as I'm concerned, losi don't have it right, I haven't seen a mid motored 22 that looks any good yet, hence why people are making shorter chassis for them.

I dont think any of these so called upgrades to any make of car,makes much difference to the average club racer like myself!! i spent £150 on big bores for my fs2 and dident get any faster,now ive just spent nearly £300 on a b44.1 and ive no doubt i would be just as fast with a second hand £100 standard b44, most of this is down to keeping up with the joneses lol.
