Hi all, looking at new motors and been doing some research, looking for a very quick 13.5 t.
there seems to be a big difference in kv rates rangeing from 2900 kv to 3600 kv on a 13.5 brushless motor. does this mean the higher the kv value the faster the motor is ? |

KV is just a measurement of RPM - NOT a measurement of power.
All the BRCA-legal 13.5 motors are very similar, some are tuned for torque, others tuned for RPM, some run a little hotter than others, some are little easier to install, etc etc, so choose based on personal preference, local availability and what you have seen running well. Personally I run the Speed Passion V3 motors, mainly because they are easy to wire up, and I have never felt down on power. Just down on driving skill! |
