Hi Pete, you need to go for a lipo stick pack which as you say is not to be higher than 24mm.
This rules out the really high power packs, but to be honest not many drivers can make the most of them anyway! You will be looking at a 5000 - 5300 Mah pack maximum really, doubt anything with more capacity will fit. I have an SX2 and use Intellect 5000 Mah, 30C which is more than enough. Main thing is to double check the height before you buy

@superstu55 - load of nonsense.
The diffs in the SX2 are now absolutely fine. They have been redesigned and changed since the old SX. Since the day I got my car and started racing it Ive never once had to replace a diff; and just a normal amount of routine maintainence keeps them running great. |

@Sonic - I run SpeedPower batts in mine mate. I buy them direct from HK and get a fairly good deal because of that.
The SP website also shows all the stats, including height so can choose which ones you want. Definately advise to go for the locator lumps as without them, your batt will want to slide around too much. Also, when you get your car, you might want to put a little bit of padding (like some servo tape) on the front bulkhead - this is where the battery sits up against it. On a heavy front impact, you can crack the hardcase of the lipo. (no biggie, as Ive done it before, but better to prevent it in the first place!) ![]() Enjoy the Cat - awesome little buggy. ![]() |

I dont know how you guys are balancing the car properly with 5000 lipo's.
my car is perfectly balanced with 3800 lipos! I would need at least 70grams of weight opposite to the lipo side of chassis. |
