Parts are right way around. I'm 100% sure.
Slipper Hub Set should look like this. In my kit the left one in this picture is identical but right plate is different.

Aran: Yeah, I'm sure I'll get this sorted out. No doubt about it.
I was just wondering if this is some kind of update to the kit, because the part seems to be wrong but it has lazer etched graphics in it like it is ment to be installed as outer plate. Time for some quality control at Durango?

No that I know of. Its frustrating when you buy a new kit and theres a defect it happens every now and then.

Looks like a production defect to me ... If you email support@team-durango.com you'll get a good response I'm sure.

Anyone have problems with the clutch slipping even with it done up pretty tight?
It only seems to slip very slightly, but it just takes the 'punch' out of the drive, (i know thats kinda what they are ment to do, but surely with the nut/spring wound right up it should stop any slip?) I've only heard a couple of people have done, its almost as if the fibre plates are not thick enough?? |

I've had plenty of odds and sods like that over the years, nuts and bolts with no threads, nylocks with the "ny" missing and, like this, parts with one (or more) machining operations missed out........ Try pming Adam Skelding on here, and mailing TD customer support. They should be able to get a replacement to you fairly soon. Or alternatively, try the shop you got it from. They may have some in stock. (if its local to you of course!!) |

do these things need to bed in? or should they just work straight away?
I've tried everything suggested, the thing is exactly as it should be, getting drive to both inner and outer plate, and yet it still slips... not badly, but in my mind it should pretty much lock out and be 'direct' when you wind the spring up, so the buggy takes off with no slip AT ALL ?? as thats what im after.. |

been messing about a bit more,
ive seen a description of holding the rear wheels and giving it a quick rev, and the clutch being tight enough when it tries to lift the front wheels off the floor.. even with the slipper done all the way up mine slips too much to do this. I've looked at everything to check its all together properly, and it is, ive checked to make sure the thickness of the spur and pads is enough to make good contact with the drive plates.. it is. and still it just slips. just think at the moment that this durango stuff is pretty rubbish. |

My pads wore out very quick so I replaced them with AE pads and have not had a problem since. AE pads fit directly are are a nice snug fit and you do not have to worry about the lay shaft spacer issue. Are you sure that it is the slipper slipping? Try tightening up the diff a bit more and then try adjusting the slipper. If the diff is slipping it normally sounds like a bark rather than a high pitch noise of a slipper.
