Default what radio gear

Can any one recomend a good radio gear set, i have 40mghz futaba 3gr and i am thinking to get 2.4 for my new car but the futaba set costs a fortune. Help

Do you want a good radio set, or a cheap radio set? The two tend to be mutually exclusive.

If you want to save some cash and still get a decent radio, get a second-hand Futaba 3gr.

Convert your existing one with a Frsky module and receiver as described in this section, or buy a Futaba 3VC or KO Esprit 2 and convert that :-) module and receiver are only about £25 for the pair!
