Default X-6 squared newby questions

Ive just bought the new x-6 squared and am very happy with the build quality and component quality. I have just a few questions.

On the transmission, is there need for any shimming anywhere (if possible) and what grease would you recommend using in there (if any)

As for the little plastic mount screwed to the chassis that holds the motor plate steady. Is there an alloy version available as the screws are slightly too short for it and te threads have started slipping?

Also is it necessary to run any spacers under the transmission at all? If so then how thick?

I only race indoor on carpet/wood floor and run the car on gtb 5.5. Im not a serious racer but would just like the car to be easy to drive.

Cant wait to drive it, as it looks and feels a bloody awesome car.
Thanks in advance

Jamie........

No shimming needed. No grease needed.

Yes ES002

Usual UK setup runs no spacers

That will be crazy fast with a 5.5, gear it 20/78 but keep an eye on motor temps

PM me your email and I'll send you my Swansea setup

as craig said 5.5 is probably going to be way to hot, 7.5 would be more driveable and plenty fast enough, the espeed alloy t plate is miles better, i would also recomend the espeed camber link mod es001

Cheers for the comments guys. I thought the 5.5 would be too mental. Time to list it for a swap for something like a 7.5 or 8.5 i think.

Also what does the camber link mod es001 do to the handling of the car?

Until you get the E speed motor mount you can use Losi mini alloy nuts to secture the T peice. In fact I use these on the alloy version AS WELL to really bolt it down hard and prevent to coming loose.

If you want something easy to drive DEFO get a 7.5 or 8.5. I used an 8.5 (Novak) to come 4th at the Supercup yesterday
