Default old tekin speedo help

i have an old tekin 411g speedo running a 13x3turn motor, could anybody please tell me if there would be problem using a 7.4v 2cell 5000mah 30c lipo to power it,the only thing i can think of is that it doesn't have a low voltage cut off, thanks

Hi the tekin 411g will run lipo no probs as it worked from 4-11 cells hence the name and it doesn't have lipo cut off,but I can't see this being a problem just stop as soon as the car starts to slow down a bit oh and if you ever need it fixing I can do these older types.

thanks for that, cheers,is there a motor limit on these speedos? the fuse in it is 30amp,i was woundering. say a brushlees esc at 60amp is recomended no lower then 6.5t,does same go for brushed? only going to use it in an old mardave mini with a 19x2(was going to use a 13x3 but car might bounce/drop to bits) for messing with at indoor meets.but was just woundering for future use

Hi the tekin 411g has no motor limit, but I would't go to low( above 9turn say?) as modern brushed motors pull more than older ones, the fuse should be 50amp in a tekin(the small black one).

I have an old Tekin speedo that still works fine. It came with my goldpan when I got it. I think it's a original Rebel, I did look it up and it has a 10 turn motor limit. I thought about running twin 19T motors but I think I should get something better.
