Losi CR rear hub
Hi Guys
Does anybody tried to fit the Losi XXX CR plastic rear hub on his X6sq ? http://www.losipartshouse.com/servle...LA-cln-/Detail Bearings size, pin hole diameter is OK? Driveshafts lenght is OK? I see some adjust possibilities reg. the rollcenter, but dont want to invest too much in alloy stuff. Thank you in advance.

Losi uses 1/8 hinge pins while we & AE use 7/64. Therefore, with a Losi hub you'll have to drill out your arms, and, most likely, drill all the way through so you use E-clips on both ends the way Losi does.
Next, I can't say for sure, but I doubt the Losi rear hub pins are the correct length. If not, you'll have to source pins. Finally, I'll let someone else comment on CVD length, both in the hub and bone length. They may not fit well at all. Better off use the new AE 4.1 rear hubs -- they fit perfectly, no changes to anything. |

I'm sure Cockers used to run them at one time so hinge pins aside I think they can be made to work.

They can be made to fit, I ran them for a while a year or so ago.
Like Chazz said you do need to drill the arms out to use losi hinge pins then just use shock spacers to take up any extra length in the hinge pin and eclip them in place. The down side to running the losi hubs is you loose the ability to adjust the wheel base as much at the hub because the Losi hubs are larger & if your not carefully when you drill the whishbones they can be quite loose on the pin giving you self adjusting toe in!

Hi Family.
Thanx for the comments. Its helpful. Chazz...sure the AE 4.1 hubs are fine, just Im looking for more RollCenter adjustability on the hubs. Im not soo pessimistic reg. the modification, otherwise I hate "wanderEclips" so as Ill have that plastic hubs will looking for bushing material. I like the 7/64 asso pins, I wanna keep my X6sq simple as possible so no reason to change them. Basically a lot of possibilities are: some Ketron Peek fine tubes or SS needle. So the ways to go are enough. Regarding the wheelbase adjustment...I see on that hubs molded spacers what could be milled or sanded away... and if more space will my X6sq need, Ill put the hubs in vise and thin it with my 3axis mm. Thats it... report as I have it ready... And yes, Tom used that hubs ...with that bloody Eclips
