Default 2wd shoots into reverse when tranny switched off first.

Hi guys,

I've recently bought a Hobbywing 100a speedo for my Mad Rat, set it all up as it should be and is running well.
However..... if I switch my tranny off first (which I know isn't really good practice) the car shoots off in reverse until tranny switched on again. My radio gear is an Ansmann 3.1 2.4ghz set.

Any ideas appreciated?

Thank you.

Always switch the car off first basics. Good luck.

some 2.4 radio sets come with a built in fail safe, basically when you bind the tranny to the receiver have the throttle set to neutral. if you didn't have reverse then id set the throttle to slight brake, maybe the problem

Check the failsafe settings on the radio. This is a preprogrammed position for the throttle and steering to go to when the receiver loses signal, I'd guess yours is set to full reverse. When you turn the radio back on the signal is restored and the speedo goes back to neutral.

You'll need to look in the manual, it's probably defaulted to full reverse as this is brake on nitros and fwd/brake speedos.

I hope this makes sense!

Paul's is the better answer, as well as the correct answer. You don't want your car shooting off if you TX shuts down for any reason. Sorry Dudders.
