improve braking on B44

Ive had my B44 a week or so and the only thing im not to happy with is the braking speed/response with it.

If I throttle forward so that the car is going at jogging pace.... I was thinking that even at a slight speed when I applied the brake I could get it to more or less instantly stop.

However from a jogging pace it goes into a walking pace for a good second or two and then finally stops.

Anything I can do to improve the braking?

Im running a Losi Xcelorin Sensored motor/esc 6.5t combo (model LOSB9552). Through the losi usb-software Ive selected 80% brakes (no option for 100%).

suggestions? - or is everything how it should be?
