ESC and Motor Quality - Race spec or not?

Is this the correct assumptions?

Race Spec:

Nosram
Novak
Tekin
GM
LRP

Semi Race Spec:

Losi
Speedpassion

Basher:

Yeah Racing
Etc

Any advices?

What does the pros drive?

I am looking into new ESCs for 2wd and 4wd plus motors, I am looking for top notch race spec systems.

Cheers
