Spektrum Binding

Hi,

I need some help please!!

I have brought a Spektrum SR3500 micro receiver to replace my SR3000 HRS receiver but i am having binding issues
I have a Futaba T3VCS transmitter with a Spektrum SR1000HRS module in it, I have the binding plug in and it flashes orange but when i press the bind button on the transmitter module the flashing orange light goes off but it should i far as i know it should change from flashing to be on??

any idea's, do all Spektrum receivers and transmitter modules work together??
