B4 Gearbox On A Sc10

Has anyone tried this? Because I have had my ball diff on order for over 2 months now, and they arn't even in the country!!!
Spoke to my local model shop and he said that should work? But as it is bigger would the gear box hold up?
Thinking about ordering it in from the Losi parts house because they are showing that they have them in stock.
