Default timing inserts

HI,i bought a second hand lrpx12,its got the insert with the 4 dots on,on the list below that to me would mean its the softest setting, should i be gearing it different to the std 2 holes in my Durango,im running a 19 pinion and all the settings on my speedo are turned right down,iv done this because it gets hot and is worse,is there any chance it could be put in the wrong way round and iniffect be +10,this being the reason its getting so hot,the car runs free with the pinion off so i know its not a binding issue,iv got no pic to see which way round it should be,as you look at the motor with the solder tabs at the top,my 4 dots are at the top of the insert,it doesnt have the initial power to squirt it over a jump, might be the speedo setting, its as thought the slipper is slipping(its not)but then all of a sudden you get bang full power,i know you can buy them but £10,im only going to use 1 of them
oooo X-10°
ooo X-5°
oo X (Std.) Standard insert, factory recommendation
o X+5°
