Default throttle throw

I have a dx3s and have large hands, I have decided that Ill wrap it in handlebar tape so it fits a little better in my hand and match the skin I have on it.

After doing this I noticed that the trigger gets stopped short of full throttle as the tape is thicker.

I havent tested if there is a difference with full throttle on the eletric and or nitro cars that it runs.

Do i fix this with travel?

Meaning that the trigger doesn't have to move as far and hopefully not have to go all the way in to achive full gas.

Anyone else do this and found that the distance that the trigger is then moved too little and will it be a lot more sensitive...

Will the radio still register it as a full motion even when the distance travelled is less

Hopefully Im clear enough to make sense to someone
