Savox 1251 Low Profile Servo Lead

These come with a VERY long lead. Must be a foot long!

I have an unsightly mass of wire because my rx is only about an inch from the servo

Servo leads that I have shortened in the past I have done inside the case - it doesn't appear so easy on this Savox because of the way the lead is mounted through the PCB...

Is it commonly done or do people shorten externally with these?
