XX4 Front Diff or One Way

When I ran my XX4 back in 2000, I never ran it with a one-way diff in the front, but have since done this year, as it being recommended by a few people. At kidderminster outdoor regional at the end of september, I did quite well, but found the car very on edge, and didn't feel like I could push the car like I used to do, when it had the diff in the front!

I am doing Dudley indoor this weekend, and would like to know if it would be worthwhile trying the diff, to try and calm the car down a bit, especially on the carpet with minipins!
