I ended up flipping the front arms back to stock, lower 4mm front tower, brought anti squat back to stock setting and shortened the rear wheel base.. |

Mikey.
I've run the chassis at my last 3 Winter Series outings and have finished a clear final higher than normal. Some of the guys I've never beaten before are now behind me on the grid! I'm carrying more speed and making far fewer errors. Only time it didn't help was on a very tight/slow club night track. Cheers, James. |

See, we did try and tell you that it makes the car easier to drive . Thats the reason i wanted to give it a try again when i joined the team. I drive differently the rest of the guys so wanted to see if it helped me, and it did.
Glad to hear its making the difference to some guys. We have more things we want to test and try to make the car even better, so the season looks like it may be a good one. Looking forward to giving the new 4wd a run at Maritime this weekend too

I'm looking for a good base setup on high grip astro for the long chassis car.
I've got mine built with saddles, but it's not right yet, needs more front end. I'm thinknig weight under the electronics, flip front arms back round to stock, short wheelbase rear end. Or, should I just use a stick pack layout? Or, even, should I try a Losi 22 style saddle layout? |

i would try adding some weight in the front and swapping the front wishbones back round and just go from there

Simon,
If it's dry I think stick pack would be the way forward, in the wet saddles should give you the extra traction. That's what I'm going to try. James. Quote:

Hello,
I run 3 hole pistons in the cougar. on Grass I would run. Short wheel base on the rear hub and front wishbones flipped. Front 3 hole pistons with 40 wt and kit 3.5 spring Middle on tower (add 2mm of droop by unscrewing ball stud if you run the standard tower) Rear 3 hole piston drilled to 1.65mm holes on inner hole on tower with 2.5 spring. rear shock bottom unscrewed 1.5mm on inner hole on wishbone. Hope that helps for a start.

Stotfold.
What starting setup are people going to run this weekend at Stotfold if it's dry?
Thanks, James. |

James
I would run exactly how you finished with it at Silverstone this weekend. I didn't change a great deal from my Stotfold set up to run at Silverstone on Sunday. Paul Timberlake
