Diff
Hi I built mine last night no dramas until I found that I could not get the diff not to slip not matter how tight I went with it. Then I noticed that when I take it out, hold it in the middle and turn one side they both go the same way rather than opisite ways as a diff should. I am confused and not sure what I have done wroung. Any advice please?

something is holding the outdrive away from the balls, so i'd check the bearings and spaces are in correctly, the gear is fitted the correct way around, then that the thrust race assembly and circlip are seated correctly

Sounds like you have got the diff pulley the wrong way round. It's got a lip one side.

Thats what confused me in the instructions. So if Im pushing the gear onto the male outdrive should the lip face up or down?

As promised problem solved and car finnished it turns out it was a fulty diff and the female outdrive had no groove for the cir clip but my local shop DMS and Schumacher were great and replaced it there and then. First racing tonight.

Bigred.. rear shock absorbers in front of the tower. Do you use parts from the old cougar?

Look again, the cougar is rear mounted. The other car is an SX3, which is front mounted.

Hey hazeandfizz I like your shock cap stickers. How do you do those or do you buy um??

Diff grease is included, there will be some in 2 clear bags. One of the bags will contain the diff balls with the silicone grease and the other contains the moly grease for the thrust race. As for threadlock, you will need to buy that for yourself.
