dex210 mid motor battery layout

ive noticed that most mid motor mount 2wd buggies have saddlepack layout side by side, however the dex210 does not,what would these two different battery layouts have effect on buggy handling and was side by side layout tried in dex210 when it was being tested? thanx

I have been running a shorty pack all the way back in addition to a 22g rear weight. I have a 65% weight distribution over the rear wheels with this setup. I looked at doing a saddle pack mod to see if it would put more weight back, but it didn't. I am guessing that is why they laid the car out in this manner.
