Tyres
What's the best way of preserving old tyres to save them cracking/going hard etc? Any help appreciated. Cheers ;-)

Good question, and sorry to hijack but the other problem you can have with old tyres is flat spots especially with NIP old stock, what can one do about that?

To be a little more specific, the tyres in question are original Schumacher (big spikes) not bnip, they are used but barely. They're on my pretty much mint procat (not glued) so indeed, another something to consider as you say... I guess they have to come off the rims or store with the rims. Maybe a plastic air tight bag? I'm not sure...?

I would guess that exposure to uv is going to be one of the main reasons that tyres perish, so anywhere dark would help!
