Search for Durango shops-suppliers
Hi Guys,
Where do you buy spare parts for Durango ? Having Dex410 I used for parts HobbyCarShop or Wartelle. Now they don't have almost anything for Durango. The only options I have now are: - M2D with 12 euros of delivery price - AMainHobby with cheap delivery but 26 euros of custom fees even for 10-20 euro purchase How are you survive ? Appreciate your experience in any language. |

Thanks Mick, it is an interesting option (4 euro for delivery) if there is no custom charges. Probably the only way to find out is to buy.
Good that you have all I need. Thanks Kurtje, for MB Models but delivery 12 UKpounds is more than in M2D. Have all I need as well. |

If it's a small order, MB usually gives a refund

HobbyCarShop, not too far from Brussels, better call first to see if they have what you need in stock. Not sure if they speak english/french though. https://maps.google.be/maps?hl=nl&q=...905978&iwloc=A

yes, i raised this as an issue last year. i pay a flat rate for any order, then receive a refund once the postage is paid. i usually pay about £8-10 for orders of bits and pieces. |

Thanks Kurtje and Roel for your inputs. Currently Ruddog does not have good stock for Durango. Seems some shops change their interests to the other brands.

Yes it's true that some shops are changing brands, it also seems that Durango is letting the service for replacements parts down.

Every year I need a new drivetrain anyway, and then I buy a complete R-kit. For a handful of euros more, you have all arms and hingepins in spare.
So no spare part problem anymore, and it allows you to drive like a madman: win-win! |

Gonzo, what is it "R-kit" ? It is one more drivetrain or special kit having all spare parts ?

With kit I ment the complete car. DEX410-R is a sort of budget-version of the DEX410, so some plastic parts instead of alu, and alu shocktowers instead of carbon. But the complete drivetrain, arms, hingepins, and all other parts are identical.
If your drivetrain needs replacement, you don't have many spares for your DEX yet and plan to race it regularly, buying an R version for spares is maybe a plan to consider. Normal kit http://www.team-durango.com/race-cars/dex410v3/ R-version http://www.team-durango.com/race-cars/dex410rv3/ |

Gonzo is right - even for just the parts to build 410R (all-plastic) front hubs I needed to spend 25 euros - this is without bearings, driveshafts, pivot balls, wheel hexes, wheel pins and postage. Ridiculous! And for example Durango's pivot balls are also hideously expensive - luckily they do seem to be made of steel. If I had more time I would've looked at buying new parts from other people, but I didn't.
Parts supply for some parts seems to be down in whole Europe currently - for example 210 RR suspension hangers. |
