currently a one way, however this is causing abit of a problem as it is Fwd, breaking is abit contraversial as to wether i stop or not.

I'm thinking of getting some Ti screws though, to loose abit of weight, and then might need to upgrade to MIP driveshafts to take the power of the mighty 1.2 beast.

What tyres are best, any information on inserts also? Do i need a big spoiler to give my self abit more rear end grip through the corner, or is the standard opened boot enough?

any help would be much appreciated!

Ok, I'd highly recommend you replace the exhaust with a baked bean can (catering pack size), cut 4 coils off each spring, replace the std wheels with those off an arctic lorry (complete with spinning trims), remove the rear seats to allow exta room for the obligatory 28 speakers, fit ultra high intensity blue LEDs to the washer jets, prepare all glass with blackboard paint (unless you can find something darker), and finally lavishly coat in tango orange paint.

It wont technically make you go any faster, but it will give us all something to uncontrollably giggle at

Silly me , I forgot to say you must also add this. (I suspect attempting mini roundabouts in Liverpool town centre, at any thing over 9 mph without it would most likely result in a guaranteed near fatal accident, Richard Hammond style)

Talking No

Its your car? Why did you buy a four door punto (Thats front wheel drive, wings are there to push the drive wheels down, not try to lift them.) that had a daft wing on it? Surely your not tasteless enough to have fitted it?

(As I don't know you I should point out the above's a tongue in cheek joke and not intented as an insult to you or anybody else sad enough to do that to a car - damn, I did it again .)

Thanks for the tips on set up, but the car got valeted today, and it's buggered im seriously 110% gutted. Apparently the cylinder head has gone, he gave me a quote on the job to do it but reccomended against it as further problems will occur.

not got much else to say, not in the best of ways!

you just cant buy class...

paul, dont know how much you been quoted but if it is loads try a few breakers to see if they have any puntos in that have had a rear end shunt...if engine is ok just swap the engines over. just as a guide there is a punto on autotrader this week with low miles engine and recent cambelt change for £475 so one that is in the breakers should be loads cheaper.

£150 for the job, but told that itl fix the problem for a short while, but problems will definatly reoccur.

looks like i might not be racing for a while either now, i'm out of pocket and having troubles sourcing funds for components i need.

Paul whats the symptoms?
if your at York find me , im 24+ years in motor trade, if its yellow sludge in the oil filler cap/breathers its no necessary the head, does it loose water, pressure the cooling system or over heat?
he could be after a quick buck!

Yep, Mark could be correct. £150 sounds a little cheap for a head job, Even if it was only the gasket, theres a few hours labour plus the parts and to be 100% a skim is often required. Even with "student discount" I would have expected a higher price.

unfortuantly not mark, im reet over here in scouse land. The oil cap had some sludge in it when we first bought it, i wiped it off and only had a lil come back since, but been told on a fiat forum its normal when doing low mileage journeys.

I got stuck in traffic yesterday and the temp guage nearly red lined, i pulled over and the water was literally boiling.

I think i want a second opinion, i just need abit of time to think it over, it all came as a rush today, both me and me dad are gutted.

a few guys on the fiat forum said to get it skimmed, new bolts etc and it should be fine.

you on msn or sumet mark?

spoke to a neighbour, he works in an auto car shop and has said he will price up the parts required, and will check for people who can skim the head.

Just hoping somthing can be done tbh!
