procat screws and eccentric housing

firstly, does anybody know if all the screws on a stock procat were stainless?
secondly, i cant see how by moving the eccentric housings you can alter the small belt tensions, they are just plastic housings.

From the level of corrosion on my box of spare screws I would say that they weren't. They probably weren't even bzp...

No the screws are definitely not stainless.

Think of the housings like a cam, they are slightly off centre, hence as you rotate them the belt tension adjusts.

Screws were steel, zinc plated I believe, slotted head self tapper. The eccentrics are exactly that, two diameters on different centres, so as you turn the outer diameter, the inner can move further away or closer to the layshaft. Therefore adjusting tension. Be sure to adjust them by the same amount though, left and right side.
