Schumacher Cat XL 2WD?? (#T402)
Ok so I'm not talking about Topcats or Cougars.....has anyone ever seen a CAT XL 2wd?
It's stated as kit number T402 on the front of the XL manual? Dan |

At the WC 87 in Romsey, many drivers use CAT XL in 2wd with many traction trouble, but after ?
And in France only 4wd was import. |

Like prp said they were run as a proto at the 87 worlds and then a small release of them was made but never really took off, Schumacher also did a conversion for the XL in small numbers.
The top cat followed not long after so not many of these examples existed, if you can find 1 of these I would be truely amazed as I've only ever seen 1 and that was 25 +years ago |

Cat xl
I just took in a old and worse for wear Cat and i came only 2wd.
Dan and Justin have had a look but im still wondering if it could be. Its got no sign of belt wear on the chassis or top deck and the front gearbox casing look new. Even the middle of the rear diff looks ok. There is marks where the undercowl and top cover would of been. It would be nice to know but just know way of finding out. Anyway with the help of Peakey it will be a 4wd soon.
