Default micro as a recognised wrca class this year

Is it possible for micro to be introduced into the wrca rounds this year?
Posing the question as my lad has asked to run his mini 8ight outdoors this year.

Hiya,
Axeman and Knighter have already been in touch regarding adding it as a 'fun' class alongside the other classes at both GNR & Talywain which I think is a good idea (they suggested it as they are both astro tracks)

I'd have no real objections to adding Micros as long as we get the minimum 6 entries to make up a heat (could be combined with another heat if there were no objections by any drivers)

The more racing the better, let me have a quick check with Saundersfoot, Caldicot and Cobra to see if they are happy

Edit: (just to say that it would be like trucks and couldn't count towards any BRCA licence grades I'm afraid)

My only thought on it is do they run happily on grass? As long as people are happy they will run ok on that surface I see no reason why not at Caldicot!

My hunch would be the first few rounds would be a little...punishing...on them, just as the length and lay of the grass could be a little 'draggy', but other than that...why not?

COBRA would 'accommodate' them, but we won't do any different prep than we would for tenth, so if the grass is a little long, it isn't going to be mowed shorter.

kit tyres will work outdoors i think?

why not have it as a controlled tyre??

then the grass will be fine for the micro i think

Defo on Astro tracks

I cant see them lasting long before thermaling on a fresh grass track though.
