Default Cleanin out shocks

Guys,
What's the best liquid to use to flush out my shocks fully, due to some dodgy orings I have water and dirt in a set and want to give them a proper clean, is water ok if I let them fully dry after?

I got myself one of those little ultrasonic baths from HK Dave. I use Wurth brake cleaner in mine.

I use either Carb or Brake cleaner, whichever I get my hands on. It's only £1 a tin from lots of places!

isopropyl alcohol, very similar to motor cleaner, meant for cleaning circuit boards and contacts

WD40 isn't a cleaner, it's an oil, and will leave a residue (albeit small) which will contaminate the shock.

Motor spray or similar is the stuff to use. Or soap and water!

brake cleaner is the best, just make sure as said you take out the o rings as it will knacker them very quickly, also make sure your not looking down the shock when you do it coz it blows back in ya face........its horrable
