Maybe a B4.2 - a B4.1 with the big bores, vented slipper and a couple of other tweaks?

The B44.1 is now discounted in the clearance section of the AE website so could be due for replacement?

Or a car in the same vein as the 22 & RB6 - rear and mid motored.

Well if the B44.1 kit is discontinued on the AE site as post above says then I guess it will be a B44.1 with big bores and a few other bits.

What I would like it to be would be a B5 with a mid motor and big bores for £200. Even if this does happen I can't see it being with us for a while - always used to be that Associated kept us waiting for ages for cars after they were announced whilst they got everything just right. Wonder if they can afford to do that now and will be more like the Losi/Kyosho cars and be more like 2/3 months between announcing them and hitting the shops?

Why do you think there is something about to be released - is there an announcement somewhere?

It would be nice to see Associated re-engineer the B4 to be a true metric car instead of a hybrid.

Mid-motor option out of the box would be nice, updated slipper, NOT an alloy chassis.

And better materials quality...

People are hinting online at a new nitro onroad car, 1/5th scale car, new sc10, new b4, new b44, new t4. Alot of them hinting at "inside sources" haha could be anything

afaik the c4.1 was realised only because ae said they wount do an own midmotor (maybe that hasnt changed). but now it might be time to have a car for astro turf and carpet too. Hope they go the way like team c with a carpet and one clay car. But hard to promote two cars.
My guess is the B44.2 will be first. But both B4.1 and B44.1 will get an update. With hex wheels and big bores now i am sure they will release cars with the new stuff.
I dont expect a complete new B5 or B54. On clay both cars are awesome. So it would be best to keep changes small as possible. Geomerty wise the B4 is still the car everyone copies. Only Kyosho has a really different geometry (RB5, not measured the RB6)

edit: the tc3Nitro is long ago and a onroad car? sounds hard to get in the market now, with xray kyo and mugen all building very equal cars. Five years ago it would have made more sence with nitro stronger and less competitors

Maybe they will finally release the family of aliens that they have had in the basement for years.

It’s a conspiracy theory.

@Sam: the B44.1 is pretty cheap right now and its a great car, no matter what they release. Its sure that they will update it soon but who needs every hop up part as long as the car is supported with spares and you can use new parts aswell. The american companies were very friendly to the customers looking at releasing improved cars instead of a whole new car every year. I know it can be super frustrating buying a new car, dont have much time to race and one year later its hard to get spares and help...but Associated is the company with the most user friendly releases, so dont worry
