I did say ROAR....
...And that their rules didn't directly apply to the UK. However, as the US is one of, if not the, largest markets for RC, mass manufacturers are unlikely to develop a vehicle that does not meet the ROAR rules. Obviously small niche manufacturers or pure hobbyists could create whatever concoctions they deem appropriate as long as they fit within their local rules (assuming they are racing at sanctioned events). AFAIK, the BRCA only has a max dimensions rule on Lipos, certainly for 1/10th OR. |

In that case then any car that takes a saddle pack is illegal too im sure the rule is old and does not respect the path and sizes are taking if that rule was to be implimented sure a american car the losi 22 cannot be rule in mid motor spec in the states
I belevie that came about due to rear motor cars being most popular in america. |

the losi short lipo is simply a lipo that is not as long as the max dimentions for a stick pack. as long as the car fits a full sized set of saddles or a full sized stick its legal if it can only fit a smaller stick pack (aka shortie) then its not legal

Chill out carl
however i have one question For you why do shorty packs have roar approval? if they have no purpose In america and before you say in a stick pack car there isnt a need for them to be run in stick pack cars. |

Because there is no reason not to allow it as it fits all the rules as a stick pack and its a useful tuning aid in cars like the x6

As an outsider to the debate, I have read the ROAR rules (not BRCA) and it reads to me that the car MUST be able to accept a full sized lipo/stick or saddle pack, however you don't actually have to use one and can use shorter approved packs.
The car just as to be capable of carrying a full size pack around. Wierd rule but probably aimed at keeping cost down by not forcing people to change packs to run a certain car. Not that this has stopped saddle v stick issue. |
