Considering I've only got saddles then my options are limited until I get the lightweight conversion for the B-Max4 it'll be saddles down the centre of the chassis. The ESC (Orca VXX) will be mounted on the top of the batteries even though I've ordered a low profile servo I doubt I'll have enough room to mount it behind going off the photos.

I wish Yokomo would share some of there setup knowledge with us in the manual.
I think its great the new kit is full of tuning options. But i could use some guidance in some of options. Like when to choose the shocks to the front or rear of the arms. Steering knuckle hi or low in the C-hub, advice on rear toe and kickup, and so on........

Setup tips will come as the car gets used. trial the options yourself to figure out what works for you and your track.

You sould be able to install the VXX on the chassis, it is quite narrow.
I plan to use a full size servo, VX3 and receiver on the front. Tight but should be ok. With a low profile servo and some planning ahead you could even have space to fit the capacitor plate on the chassis. Mine will be located on the servo. |

I certainly won't be investing in another spring set. That's just a rip off in my opinion.

Same here, I'll be sticking to Associated Springs. At least you know what rates they are without trawling through the Internet and they're a lot cheaper.

We had to unscrew 100 screws to get the diff out on the B-MAX2 now we need about a 1000.
Well done Yokomo!

As long as it is worth the effort... I am sure I'll appreciate my Bosch IXO even more after getting a YZ-2!

Looking at the instruction manual it looks to be roughly the same amount but still a ball ache of a job and there's the spacers under the gearbox to contend with.
It's definitely not a club night job. |

Hate that with my XMW, silly spacers under impossible to reach places, still, i want one, looks lovely!

Are you guys really having to use a variety of spring options?
Here at my local tracks, (One Indoor Dirt, the other indoor carpet) the setup seems to be pretty standard. Not a whole lot of changes. For Clay: http://www.petitrc.com/setup/yokomo/...lbany20140814/ http://www.petitrc.com/setup/yokomo/...Portand201401/ *his carpet setup isn't published...* Mark- who is a friend of mine and the only local Yoke racer has a pretty locked in setup. He finds that the Blue springs seem to be the go-to spring and just small adjustments to oil are all that are needed. I plan to make the YZ a dedicated Carpet car only. How are your carpet tracks? Mixed surface or does anyone run Ozite? MOmo |
