Hi guys,
I have been looking into buying a Losi 22 for some time. I see some people run the lipo's side by side, as far as I understand it is a mod you can do. What do people generally think of it, how does it alter the car, good bad points and what set up changes do you make. I presume once you have done the mod the set ups posted from team drivers are a bit useless if they are using a standard layout, is this true? Any advice would be greatly recieved. Cheers |

It doesn't really answer your questions as I haven't done the modification as I think the 22 has plenty of forwards drive in the standard layout.
I guess a lot comes down to driving style and what surface you are running on as to whether you will feel you want more rear end grip.

I did this to my 22 as I thought it would benefit rear end grip. I didn't think it made much difference. I then added 55g of lead to the rear of the car and it felt much better. I ended up putting it on the plate by the motor where some mount their esc's which I didn't think was ideal but I couldn't see anywhere else to put it. I didn't go for the weight kit as I thought it may give a pendulum effect. I also use the under lipo brass weight which I thought helped a lot.
